The evergreen Land Cruiser 70 Series has always been regarded as a simple, no-nonsense workhorse in its segment. However, following in the footsteps of icons like the Mercedes G-Class and Land Rover Defender, it is increasingly catching the eye of tuning shops. One of them is Costa Rican company Black Box Custom 4×4, which has unveiled a luxurious Signature Series version.
The donor vehicle is an all-new 2026 Toyota Land Cruiser LC76 Station Wagon after its recent facelift. The SUV is finished in a matte powder-blue color with a contrasting white roof.
The rugged look is enhanced by body-colored steel bumpers and fender flares, a black heavy-duty bumper, a snorkel, extendable towing mirrors, and a signature roof-mounted expedition rack fitted with additional LED light bars.
For easier access, Black Box installed electrically retractable running boards, as the serious chassis modifications have raised the off-roader noticeably. The suspension features a lift kit with upgraded shock absorbers, beadlock wheels, and more aggressive mud-terrain tires.
The transformation continues inside the cabin. The tuner opted for an all-white theme clearly inspired by Brabus projects. Virtually every surface — from the dashboard and center console to the door cards and seats — is upholstered in white leather, finished off with a white headliner. A Pioneer infotainment screen and an auxiliary switch panel for controlling the added equipment were also added.
Despite the radical changes to the exterior and interior, Black Box left the mechanical components untouched. Under the hood remains the factory 2.8-liter four-cylinder turbodiesel producing 204 horsepower and 369 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission and the standard four-wheel-drive system.
The Costa Rican company has not disclosed the price of this specific LC76 — it is already marked as reserved on their website.
